Barbara Kingsolver has long been my favorite author. Her book "The Poisonwood Bible" was required in a highschool English class, and I managed to take it for granted. Upon re-reading the book after graduating and gaining more of an interest, I discovered gold. Her words are musical, every mundane thing brought to life with relative ease, nothing is common in her world. I just recently began reading Pigs in Heaven, a sequel to an all-time favorite "The Bean Trees." Kingsolver's style is eloquent, magical, and poetic, even when describing the badlands of Kentucky and Oklahoma. I recommend her work to whomever is interested! There are even short-essays and stories that are easy to get your hands on and finish in a day or so. Everyone should read Kingsolver!
