Purchases of Summer;

We have been collecting so many great items for the house! Gogi managed to find a gorgeous brocade chair while riding through the neighborhood after his motorcycle inspection. He came home and we returned to raid the garage sale of a neighbor just three streets north. The chair is unbelievable, and at $5.00 the twenty minutes of maintenance was more than worth it. It simply needed a piece of ply-wood underneath the bottom springs, now it is good as new!

From the same sale we also found a painting for our living room wall. The woman of the house informed me that she painted it around 30 years ago (in highschool mind you) from a picture she tore out of National Geographic. The frame needs a bit of wood polish, but the colors go so well with my wooden walls! Was it worth the .50?

I purchased some pins that were the sellers father's when he was younger. The National Rifle Association used to present medals upon certain achievements, and they could not be more amazing. I will have to find a place on one of my leather jackets for these pieces. Again, only .50.

From the same sale, (we had nearly cleared them out by this point) I spent another mere .50 for this blouse. It needs a spot treatment on a small yellow stain on the front, but other than that I adore the pleating, small bow, and the rear button design.

Within two days of this sale, I received a pair of gloves that I purchased on etsy. Pure 1980's awesome, I'm hoping that I can wear them should I ever ride on my boyfriends motorcycle. Thank you Kelly Chloe!

All in all, I am pleased with everything entering my little house thus far. More garage sales this weekend in the neighborhood, and hopefully more great treasures to come!
