Things that are Jordan;

This is sure to be a long-winded-unwind about myself and the things that make up my life, but I find it necessary in order to move forward with this form of self-promotion. Ugh. Brace yourselves!

I am currently a 20 year old youngling feathering my nest in the wonderful city of Austin, Texas. I have worked the same restaurant job for 3 years this month, and find fear in the unknown. I graduated high-school at 17, and have been working and living on my own since. I am one course away from my associates degree in Drama at a local community college, but am only days away from applying to a major four year university here in town. (Not the University of Texas!) I just moved into a house with my handsome boyfriend of 2.5 years, we have two kittens together. I find anything relating to good drama, film, classic literature, and modern writing interesting, and really enjoy learning trades of any sort. I have a strange obsession with anything witchy, by that I mean animal furs, antlers, bones, and odd architecture. I have only just moved into my new abode, and while living from boxes has become the norm, the only things I have manged to arrange and hang are mounted animal skulls and chandeliers. I am a southern girl at heart, as I grew up in the Texas Hill Country. I am currently excited about saving for a small cafe-style moped and possibly a classic car in the next year!

What else is there to say?
I feel so pretentious even describing such things, but a blog cannot simply appear and begin telling a story without any foreshadowing.

Thus said, let us begin!

  2. Sounds good to me. I'm Sasha. I go to Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, I do a lot of work with photography but will major in sculpture, go through many different phases of music (right now anything that has connections to Nick Cave), enjoy reading (currently The Tin Drum and The Book of Disquiet), and I have been in a relationship with a boy named Alex for almost 5 years in September. Oh! I also collect bones :) I find most of mine on railroad tracks.

  3. Sasha, I have had your blog marked for sometime, I really enjoy your posts! Keep writing, I will keep reading. Also, do you recommend Nick Cave? I haven't ever really listened to him. And this Book of Disquiet, what is the plot? I am reading Animal Vegetable Miracle, a book about sustainable living full of recipes, articles, and beautiful poetic writing by my favorite author Barbara Kingsolver. You might enjoy it!
