Slip Tunnel Stitching;

I altered a few items this week, I am feeling really happy with the skills I learned in my costuming class. Even though it was over a semester ago, I can still remember exactly how to hide my stitches and bury the tails of my threads! Maybe I will venture out and make a pattern of my own?!

Most are glad it's Friday, but for me it is just another day of school and odd errands around the house or about town. I got a huge electric bill, almost $200.00 dollars due to the snow last month, and the gas company called me promptly this morning to tell me that my bill is late and they are close to shutting off my service. I am so busy with school that I grow absent minded and keep missing the date to pay. This last month money has been so tight, and I already had my first check accounted for week one of March. I wanted to purchase a pair of shoes and some bracelets for South by SouthWest. Looks like I will have to make another trip to Buffalo Exchange in order to sell off more of my clothes. Good thing I have an abundance of Winter items that need to be cleared out. I suppose I can sacrifice a pair of shoes or two for some quick cash, and then hopefully I won't have to sell my soul to the electric company.

I am currently reading Lord of the Flies, Dracula, and The Lacuna simultaneously. I got a new phone through Virgin mobile and have been able to really make use of the Kindle application. It blows my mind that I can sit and read a chapter on my phone in-between classes without having to carry he novel with my other school books. If I am at home however, I love the smell and feel of a real hardback. Regardless, I am delving into more literature, which was one of my New Years resolutions. Speaking of...I have yet to put any money back for a new car. Tax return?

Hopefully there will be good financial news soon! I am hoping that my check at least covers half of the bill, not to mention the gas charges. Being sick last month, as well as rising gasoline prices really set me back. Wishing everyone ease with their own responsibilities, don't you love this American Dream?
