[ Wishing I had this type of armor against the arctic winds; ]
I'm feeling stifled in this weather! It is amazing how Texans deal with what Chicago natives see for 8 months at a time. Single digit wind chills, hard freezes, possible snow. It hasn't been over 30 degrees for three days now. We are unaccustomed to the need for high energy usage, and have had rolling blackouts all over the state. Unusual, and potentially hazardous to daily routines. I have missed a few classes due to waning temperatures and my car not wanting to start. I cannot believe the intensity of the wind. My lungs hurt from walking the length of campus between courses. I have found comfort in sweaters, couch-time with my two cold cats, and copious amounts of hot tea and coffee.
I am having a hard time grasping that Fashion Freakout is tomorrow. We had a rehearsal Monday evening. I felt it was lacking for me...as I am a rookie. I will have time tomorrow to run through the catwalk with full hair and makeup. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will subdue the nerves for a while longer. We are going to be photographed by the Austin American Statesman, and multiple local blogs and magazines. So insane! The opportunities I have come across are mind blowing. I am so pleased to assist the store and the wonderful models that I will walk with. I will definitely post pictures as soon as they are available.
I'm off to somewhere with heat...
Wishing you so much luck! Please let me know how it goes!
